- Regularly changing the water in your Ice Barrel is essential for maintaining hygiene and ensuring optimal performance. Follow these steps to change the water efficiently while minimizing mess and ensuring proper reconnection of all components.
Preparation

Enter Maintenance Mode:
- Enter Maintenance Mode from the Chiller's settings menu or via the Ice Barrel App.

Shut Off Valves:
- Locate the quick-connect water valves on the top and bottom bulkheads of the Ice Barrel.
- Shut these valves to stop water flow before disconnecting any hoses.
Disconnecting Hoses

Preparation for Water Discharge:
- Be prepared to capture any water remaining in the hoses.
- Position a bucket or direct the hose end to an area where water discharge is acceptable.

Disconnect Quick-Connect Hoses:
- Top Hose: Disconnect the top Quick-Connect Hose from the top quick-connect shut-off valve located on the Ice Barrel.
- Bottom Hose: Disconnect the bottom Quick-Connect Hose from the back of the Chiller.
Draining the Ice Barrel

Attach Garden Hose Adapter:
- Use the additional male quick-connect fitting provided with the Chiller accessories to attach a garden hose to the bottom quick-connect hose.
- This setup allows you to extend the hose to the desired location for draining.

Drain Water:
- Ensure the extended hose leads to a suitable drainage area.
- Open the bottom valve to start draining the Ice Barrel.
Cleaning the Ice Barrel

Apply Cleaning Soap:
- Once the Ice Barrel is empty, use the Ice Barrel cleaning soap to thoroughly clean the inside of the barrel.

Rinse Thoroughly:
- Ensure all soap residues are rinsed out of the Ice Barrel to prevent any contamination.
Reassembling and Resuming Operation

Reconnect Quick Connect Hoses:
- Reattach the quick-connect hoses to their respective valves on the Ice Barrel.
- Ensure a secure and leak-free connection.

Open Shut-Off Valves:
- Open both the top and bottom bulkhead valves to allow water flow through the system.
