Notification Receipt:
-
If you receive a "System High-Pressure Malfunction" alert on your Chiller's app or display, it means the Chiller is experiencing high pressure. This can happen due to restricted airflow or high outdoor temperatures. To protect the Chiller, it will activate Protect Mode.
Initial User Actions for Airflow Check:
-
Ensure Adequate Ventilation:
- Check the Chiller's surroundings for adequate clearance, ensuring no walls or objects are too close to the unit and potentially restricting airflow.
-
Air Filter Inspection:
- Review the "How to clean your air filter journey" for steps to inspect and maintain the air filter, crucial for preventing airflow blockages that can lead to high system pressure.
Addressing High Ambient Temperatures:
- The Chiller is engineered to perform optimally in conditions up to 120°F. Users in environments approaching this temperature are advised to enhance ventilation or relocate the Chiller to a cooler area if possible, to help maintain optimal operating conditions and prevent high-pressure issues.
Notification Resolution:
- Once you have checked and improved ventilation and/or the ambient temperature conditions around the Chiller have improved, resolve the notification via the app or Chiller UI manually, acknowledging that you have addressed the potential causes of the high-pressure alert.
Monitoring and Recurrence:
- After implementing the suggested steps, monitor the Chiller for any recurrence of the high-pressure alert, indicating the need for further assistance.
Contacting Support for Persistent Issues:
-
- Should the problem persist or recur, contact the Ice Barrel Customer Experience Team through the chatbot on icebarrel.com.
